BUILDING TO LAST (BIBLE STUDY) GUIDELINES
THEME: UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES AND SEASONS (1 CHRONICLE 12:32)
TOPIC: BUILDING SPIRITUAL STAMINA AGAINST THE DECEPTIONS OF THE DEVIL (PART 2)
BIBLE TEXT: Acts 20:32
INTRODUCTION
We started looking at this topic last week. We considered two main ways to build Spiritual stamina in these last days; namely:
- The word of God (Wisdom) Matt. 7:24-27 and
- Engaging Kingdom Mysteries (Putting on the whole armour of God.) Eph. 6:10-18.
If the patriarch of faith were tried, and Jesus, our Lord and saviour was hated, persecuted and betrayed it is obvious that we, the New Testament saints would experience the same. John 15:18-20. The devil is not going to change his syllabus of attacking the saints of God as He has always been doing, that’s why it is important for us to build spiritual stamina.
Therefore, today we shall continue in our study as we look at more avenues to building our spiritual stamina in these last days.
WAYS TO BUILD OUR SPIRITUAL STAMINA AGAINST THE WILES OF THE DEVIL
- Engaging the word of His grace (The revealed word not the letters) Acts 20:32, 2 Cor. 3:6 The revealed word of God is the most powerful force on earth. When we lay hold on the revealed word of God, our system is injected with indestructible virtues that help build our spiritual stamina against evil days.
- Praying in the Holy Ghost (Praying unto God in mysteries) Jude 20 When we pray in the Holy Ghost, we are speaking directly unto God without any barriers. When we pray in our understanding, we are limited but when we pray in the Holy Ghost, we speak mysteries that the enemy cannot decode. (1 Cor. 14:2)
- Engaging with God in the secret place (Separation from the crowd to encounter God) Daniel 6:10-22. Everything you stand to believe will be tested. Daniel’s faith in the Lord was tried but he came out triumphant against the plans of the wicked to eliminate him.
- Maintaining unbroken fellowship with other saints of God. Heb. 10:25 In the place of fellowshipping one with another, we build up stamina in prayers and in the sharing of the word of God. Acts 4:23-24,31-33
CONCLUSION
Our victory as saints of God in these last days will be a collective effort. Divided will fall but there is so much to achieve when we work together as a team in building an undefeatable force against the wiles of the enemy in these last days. Eccl. 4:9-12
We shall be victorious in Jesus name.
God bless you!
